Who is the Fox Hill PTO?
The Fox Hill PTO is an organization of parent and teacher volunteers committed to supporting the school and enhancing each and every child’s education in and out of the classroom. Part of what makes Fox Hill a great place to learn is the widespread support and engagement from our very active parent community.
What does the PTO do?
Throughout the year, the PTO supports school initiatives or activities, hosts events and works with school administration to a) foster a strong school community; b) provide opportunities that reach every student and; c) improve Fox Hill with each year.
How can you support the Fox Hill PTO?
The PTO supports initiatives, activities and events that reach every student and parent. Fox Hill PTO volunteers maintain our school website, write and distribute emails and forms, chair annual events such as the Pumpkin Fair, the Fox Trot, and our end-of-the-year Family Festival. Our PTO is part of the Burlington Parent Teacher Organization along with other surrounding school PTOs. We are involved with the districts school administration meeting on a scheduled basis with the Superintendent and other PTO executive boards to discuss issues that are developing within our schools, hear what’s new in the district and discuss improvements parents have an interest in bringing forward.
The PTO requests support from every family because every family benefits from the PTO’s activities and events. The suggested amount is $20 per family. We understand that not every family will give at this level but encourage you to give what is financially comfortable for you.
Just as important, the PTO and the school needs and welcomes your volunteer spirit! Please attend PTO meetings, consider volunteering at an event or get involved in your own way – there are many jobs to fill and we need your help!
